Photo Surface Finishing

Several different types of surface modifications or finishing can be applied to your portraits. Currently, we offer the following surface finishing products to add final touches and textures to your memories.

Lustre Coating
A Lustre Coating is included for all of our Studio Portrait Packages unless otherwise requested. It is also available as an option in our a la carte ordering. Lustre Coating is an environmentally friendly, non-flammable, roller-applied coating that not only provides superior protection, but also visibly enhances the look of your prints. It is commonly used on Final Prints.

Pebble Texture

Florentine Texture
This is a plate applied embossed texture in which the plate is pressed onto the print and is particularly attractive on larger prints.

Brush Texture
Water-based brush texture resembles an oil painting with visible brush strokes. This product cannot be final coated and is not compatible with lamination or any embossed texture other than Linen. We suggest that portraits with brush texture are mounted for further stability.

Linen Texture
This is a plate applied embossed texture in which the plate is pressed onto the print and is particularly attractive on larger prints. This has become a very popular finish for Metallic prints.
